Each contestant is required to turn in a MINIMUM of 10 canned food items. All of the food collected will be donated to Christian Place Mission Food Bank to be distributed to families in need throughout Northwest Alabama. Christian Place Mission provides food for families in need in Northwest Alabama. *~

Answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Attire: Attire for this pageant is "VALENTINE"OR HEART THEMED CASUAL WEAR! This can be custom made or off the rack!
Hair and Makeup: We are not a glitz pageant but do allow age-appropriate makeup. Please come completely dressed and ready to compete. There will be a bathroom available for minor touch ups but please arrive completely dressed in your pageant attire with hair and makeup finished!
Competition Details: Contestants will do a walk of choice to upbeat music. We provide the music so you do not need to bring a CD. Model like you are in a fashion show! :)
Check In: Check in begins at 1:00 and ends at 1:45.
DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY TO CHECK IN.
Contestants will not be allowed to check in after 1:45 so be sure you are on time!
WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE CONTESTANTS!
Judging: Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Stage Presence and Personality.
Queen of Hearts title: All of our pageants are "Pageants with a Purpose" and we love to teach our girls the importance of giving back to the community. Each contestant is required to bring in a minimum of 10 (ten) canned food items that are in date (must not be expired). Each contestant will be awarded 1 (one) Queen of Hearts for each canned food item. The one contestant that brings in the most will be awarded our Queen of Hearts title!! For contestants bringing more than the minimum of 10, you must have a TOTAL count prior to turning it in. All food must be in boxes or REUSABLE shopping bags labled with the contestants name and division. The contestant who turns in the most with the proper labeling will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed sash and entry fee paid to the 2012 Alabama's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. All of the food will be donated to Christian Place Mission.

Ambassador: Our "Ambassador" title is awarded to the contestant who refers the most contestants to compete at the 2012 SHELBY COUNTY'S MISS HEART OF THE USA PAGEANT. For a referral to count the contestant must put YOUR name in the referrer line and pay her entry fee. A contestant may also accumulate Ambassador points by poster placement as well as vendor referrals and ad placements in the official pageant program! This includes "Good Luck" wish spots also.
Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the
2012 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant.
Viewers Choice: Our Viewers Choice title is voted on by the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and you can vote as many times as you'd like. The contestant with the most votes WINS!
Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the
2012 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of America Pageant.
Miss Photogenic: Photos can be of any size and do not have to be professionally done. This can be a headshot or full body shot. You can include up to 5 photos at $10.00 per photo. The photo with the highest score will be used towards your total photogenic score. We will award ONE photogenic winner.

Each person entering the BALLROOM (except for the contestant) is required to purchase an armband. These armbands are $10.00 each.
