Contestant Numbers are not issued in the order of Registration--Numbers will be randomly assigned!

Baby Miss (Ages 0-24 months)
Tiny Miss (Ages 2-4 years)
Little Miss (Ages 5-7)
Petite Miss (Ages 8-10)
Junior Miss (Ages 11-13)
Teen Miss (Ages 14-16)
Miss (Ages 17-23)
Ms (Ages 24- and Up)

Answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Attire:  Attire for this pageant is  CASUAL WEAR! This can be custom made or off the rack!

 

HAIR and MAKEUP:  Professional  hair and makeup are not required.  We are not a Glitz Pageant!  However, makeup is permissible.  We highly discourage the use of anything FAKE--such as flippers and wiglets!  Please come completely dressed and ready to fo on stage.  There will be restrooms available for minor touch ups but please arrive completely ready in your pageant attire with hair and makeup finished!

 

COMPETITION DETAILS:  Contestants will do a walk of choice to upbeat music.  We provide the music so you do not need to bring a CD.  Model like you are in a fashion show!  :)
Contestants in Baby Miss and Tiny Miss Divisions must have an adult on stage with them at all times!  Coaches standing behind the judges doing routines as their contestant is onstage is NOT acceptable. 

Check In: Please DO NOT arrive early for check in. We have the check in time set so you have plenty of time to check in your food collected and pick up your contestant number.

Please Plan to arrive between 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Contestants should arrive dressed and ready to go!
**(PHOTOGENIC JUDGING WILL BEGIN AT 2PM AND END AT 2:25PM)**
 
 
Judging: Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Stage Presence and Personality.
TOTAL SCORE = Overall Appearance + Stage Presence + Personality
 
 
 
DIVISIONAL PRIZES:
Winners in each division will receive a beautiful Rhinestone Crown, Miss Heart of the USA sash, rhinestone sash pin and her entry fee ($295 Value) paid to the
2012 Massachusetts Miss Heart of the USA Pageant.
First and Second Runners-Up in each Division Win will a $150 Gift Certificate to be used towards their entry fee to the 2012 Massachusetts State Miss Heart of the USA Pageant.
 
 
***TWO very special ADDITIONAL TITLES***
Eligibility to compete for these two additional titles is included in your registration fee
At every Miss Heart Of the USA preliminary pageant we crown two very "Special" Queens.
Our two "Special" titles must be earned......
Queen of Hearts:  All of our pageants are "Pageants with a Purpose". We strive to teach our girls the importance of giving back to the community. Contestants are required to bring in a minimum of 10 non perishable food (Canned Food) items.
The contestant who brings in the most canned food items will be awarded our most prestige title : "Queen of Hearts".
If you are bringing in more than the required 10 canned food items; you must have the food counted prior to turning it in. All food must be in bags/boxes and labeled with the contestants name and division. The contestant who turns in the most food items that are bagged/boxed with the proper labeling, will be crowned "Queen of Hearts". 
Our "Queen of Hearts" will received her Miss Heart of the USA Queen of Hearts Sash, her beautiful Queen of Hearts Rhinestone Crown, rhinestone sash pin and her entry fee to our 2012 Massachusetts Miss Heart of the USA State Pageant! 
 
Food will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank in Boston, MA. Please visit their website at: http://www.gbfb.org/
Ambassador:   Our "Ambassador" title goes to the contestant who collects the most "Ambassador Points". By sharing information about the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant Program, our Ambassadors help to promote collection of additional canned food items.  (If you would like to compete for this title....once you have registered....immediately request a "Care Package" from the State Office!)     State Office Email:  Christel@missheartoftheusa.com
 
Ambassador Points are earned for the following:
 
1 Point  --for each Poster Placed in a local business at least 10 days prior to pageant
2 Points --for each local Business Sponsor Spot Sold $25 (Business Card Size)
3 Points --for each "Good Luck" Ad Sold $25 (be sure to ask Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, Neighbors and Friends!)
2 Points --for each contestant you refer to the pageant, who pays her entry fee and competes
 
Our Ambassador will receive her Miss Heart of the USA Ambassador Sash, beautiful Ambassador Rhinestone Crown, rhinestone sash pin and her entry fee paid ($295 Value) to our 2012 Massachusetts State Miss Heart of the USA State Pageant.
 
 
*********OPTIONAL TITLES:*********
 
Viewers Choice: This title is voted on by the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and the contestant with the most votes wins! She will receive a rhinestone crown, sash and entry fee paid to the 2012 Massachusetts Miss Heart of the USA Pageant ($295 Value). Money collected for the Viewer's Choice Title is to be turned in at the registration desk. Please place it in an envelope with the contestants name, number and division clearly printed on the front. Remember this is a great way for grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. who cannot attend the pageant to still participate--
 
MISS PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION
ENTRY FEE IS $20 each addt photo is $10
 
Divisional Photogenic winners will receive a Miss Heart of the USA Photogenic Trophy and sash.
A Miss Photogenic overall winner will be chosen. She will receive her sash, her crown, her sash pin and her entry paid to our 2012 State Competition.
 
Photogenic - Photos can be of any size and do not have to be professionally done. This can be a head-shot or full body shot. Photos are scored on personality projection, clarity and overall photogenic qualities. Photos need to be turned into the Registration Desk as soon as you arrive. Photos must be labeled with the Contestant's Name and Division. No photos will be accepted that do not meet these requirements. DO NOT MAIL ANY PHOTOS TO THE DIRECTORS! There will be an additional charge of $10 per photo. All photos must be picked up immediately following the competition at the Registration Desk.

Other Requirements:
 
Each person entering the Auditorium (except for the contestant and the one parent of Baby Miss and Tiny Miss that would be on stage with contestant) is required to purchase an arm-band. These arm-band are $10. Children under 12 are half price.

I understand that EVERYONE in our party including the contestant is to be a good sport at all times and that the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant Program reserves the right to rescind any title and refuse entry to any event due to bad sportsmanship or negative behavior/actions by any titleholder or anyone in their party. I hereby release waive and forever discharge Miss Heart of the USA LLC and WHITMORE ALLEY their members agents subcontractors employees or assigns or the promoters sponsors or advertisers owners and lessees of premises used to conduct this event and each of them their officers and employees from any and all liability. By initialing I grant the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant Program the right to use my/my daughter's photo on their website and/or in advertising of the pageant program. I understand that the pageant entry fee is non refundable and non transferable to another pageant or contestant should the registered contestant be unable to attend.
