 About Us

Please take the time to read some of the personal stories from our Queens and Contestants listed below!:

The Miss Heart of the USA Pageant strives to provide our contestants with the opportunity to have fun, establish lasting friendships, build confidence, and self-esteem; all while encouraging them to get involved with organizations in their community, that benefit those in need.  Our Queens are involved at the local level with organizations like the humane society, the March of Dimes, Children's Hospitals, etc.

Our pageant began as a food drive for a local Rescue Mission and blossomed into a National Pageant Program that has distributed over 3,000,000 non perishable food items to non profit organization such as food banks, rescue missions, senior programs, etc.

Working with organizations like "Santa's of America" and "Toys for Tots" our contestants help to assure a "Merry" Christmas for thousands of underprivileged children across the country.

We are very proud of our Queens. They have truly made our program what it is. Without their dedication to our causes, our program would not be what it is today.

We started as the Miss Heart of America Pageant and in 2011 changed our name to the
Miss Heart of the USA Pageant.

We are currently holding State Pageants in

Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Mississippi
Louisiana
South Carolina
Texas
Illinois
Massachusetts

If a pageant is being held in your state, you must first compete at your state pageant before you are eligible to register for Nationals.

Our family has so many great things to say about the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant that we do not even know where to begin. In February of 2012 our daughter Mackenzie began her journey with the Pageant. She won the Queen of Hearts title in Alachua County after reading all the rules on-line and finding out it was a food drive in with a pageant, she was hooked. She began a huge food drive and was able to collect 538 food items for her first prelim.

Now I am getting a little ahead of myself. At that time Mackenzie was very shy and did not talk to many people or even make eye contact. She also had some things that would hold her back (so she thought) and would not speak of them. Now after a year she lets others know if she is having a hard time in any situation that she has dyslexia and it may take her a few more seconds to figure things out.  Can I just say as a parent I am so proud to see her so confident that she can openly speak about what is going on in her thoughts.  She has helped show so many children in our town that you should never let something hold you back. Keep trying and you will succeed.

Back to our families Journey with Miss Heart. Mackenzie was doing great after her first prelim she found a great Center in Williston to volunteer each week. Then came another. Before we knew it our families schedule was full of volunteer days.  Many days were spent holding food drives and attending county festivals and fairs. Let me just say, the memories we have built from all of those events are amazing.

In May Miss Heart put out emails and announced that they were having a Mother Daughter Month. They were encouraging all to participate. Well guess who saw that email. Yes our daughter Mackenzie. So in May she was able to crown me Ms. Levy County.

Then things just got even more fun. Tons of events and food collected. When we went to North Florida State we were shocked when after what was a fabulous weekend we were both crowned North Florida Queens. Mackenzie won Overall Photogenic and Petite Miss Heart of the USA and mom won The Mrs. Heart of the USA. All we could here from the stage were very loud cheers from an amazing husband and father. This has truly been a family experience and we look forward to another year with the Miss Heart of the USA.

Mackenzie says her goal with the Miss Heart of the USA is to become the National Community Service Queen.

I would encourage each and every family to choose an area of the Miss Heart Pageant and run with it. There is so many positive things you can get involved in.

A huge thanks to Mrs. Sherry. What an amazing director to us. We love you.

MHoftheUSA has indeed changed me and my daughter.  It has brought us closer and I have a new perspective on my appearance.  As an Army Doctor I spend alot of time in uniform and I don't think much about my dress or make-up.  I'm kind of an earthy girl in that aspect :)  Jerica loves to dress up and parade around the house in her themed ensembles and MHoftheUSA gives us both a chance to shine, together.  While I spend a good bit of time volunteering, Jerica is learning more about how she can give of herself and I love that.  I consistently tell people that MHoftheUSA is about giving purpose and meaning to young ladies as well as enstilling in them  a sense of self.  We guide young (and older) ladies to look their best, behave their best and be active in the world they live in.  It may sound like alot of fluff but...it has improved my self esteem and I am much more intentional about how I give back to my community.  Just check the before and after pictures from when we started just over a year ago to the last national competition.  Oh, Jerica and I both won Christmas Queen of Hearts this year.  She won food and I won toys.  Something I worked on since last year.  I love being a part of the MHoftheUSA system and our directors are amaziing when it comes to encouraging the girls...all of us girls...Thanks!

As the summer of 2012 drew to a close we had no idea what was in store for us in the coming months. On August 10th my Mom, Emma's Oma (German for Grandma) passed away very unexpectedly. She lived with us and stayed home with Emma everyday. Many nights Emma would rather go to sleep in her room than with us (Mom and Dad). We had already planned to attend the prelim scheduled for August 25th prior to our lost, so I figured it was time to get out of the house and let Emma do what she loved, "Rock the Stage"....lol! It was a hard day for me, my Mom never missed on of Emma's pageants. Before Emma went on stage I asked her if she thought Oma was watching her, first giving me a puzzled look Emma said with the most confidence a 3 year could have, "Yes"! She warmed my heart as she did the judges as she went on stage. Shortly after this prelim I learned more about Miss Heart of the USA and it has taken our life by storm! Emma and her brothers enjoy the food drives and Emma loves going to local Ribbon Cuttings and Festivals. It has taught all of us so much about community service and the needy people right here in our community. We will continue our food drives and community work because of this wonderful pageant system Miss Heart of the USA! Can't wait for our first State Pageant!

Hugs & Kisses,

Emma and Nicole (Emma's Mom)

First of all thank you for allowing me the chance to tell everyone how MHOUSA has changed my life.  My journey with MHOUSA started as a healing process.  On 2-24-2012 I lost my mother, I was devastated to stay the least.  I searched my heart and mind for something to fill my time.  One day I came across a pageant that was posted by Robbin in the state of Tennessee.  I grew up doing pageants and I know that would be a great experience and would honor my mom at the same time.  I spoke to Robbin and my journey began.  I made appearances in my home town, took my anti-bully campaign from Tennessee to Kentucky raising over 30000 school supplies for low income families and school districts.  Before I knew it I was making a difference and could only imagine how proud of me my mom would be.  I worked with several humane societies and was named the 2012 Ambassador to the Fuzzy Friends.  I even signed my niece up as a Junior representative and we made it a family affair.

I found myself living again and wanting to do even more things.  I attended every event I could from judging at pageants, crowning, attending festivals and being able to share the "Pageant with a Purpose.

August fast approached and our state pageant was upon us.  Win or lose I knew I had accomplished wonderful things, help people in need and was able to spread the word of the Miss Heart of the USA pageant.  I met so many nice people the weekend of our state pageant.  I know I have made live long friends in my sister queens.  I had so much fun walking that runway, doing my introduction and modeling my beauty dress.  (My husband was so proud)  At crowning I could hardly contain myself when I was crowned Ms. Tennessee 2012 and Ms. Tennessee Scholarship Queen.  I knew that my mom was wrapping her arms around me as I had made her so proud.  Also my niece was crowned Tennessee Jr. Miss 2012 and Tennessee Community Queen2012.

As you can see, MHOUSA brought our family together, put us in the community helping others and spreading the Pageant with a purpose.  Thank you for letting me tell you my personal story of healing and how MHOUSA was a large part of that.

Sincerely:

Tracy Anglin

2012 Tennessee Ms. Heart of the USA

2012 Tennessee Scholarship Queen

Hello! My name is Rachel Arrington. I am seventeen years old and I live in Georgia. As a child, I wanted to compete in pageants. When I came across Miss Heart of the USA, I knew it was for me! Since I was in the seventh grade I have been involved with volunteer work. I have been on several Missionary teams, volunteer efforts, etc. This pageant caught my attention because of what the system's main focus is community service. For the fact that helping others is my passion, I knew this was the system I was supposed to be apart of. I competed for the first time at Georgia's State pageant in August of 2012. To my surprise, I was crowned Georgia's 2012 Teen Miss Heart of the USA. This title opened new doors for me. Not only did I make new friends through the system, I got to be apart of things I could have never done before. I have had the honor of representing Georgia in several ways. I have judged other pageants, raised canned goods for a church ministry, and delivered clothing to a women's home. These are just a few examples of the great opportunities I have been able to take advantage of because of this pageant. I love being apart of the Miss Heart of the USA program. It is a great way for girl's of all ages to understand the true meaning of giving back. It teaches ladies like myself, confidence and respect. Miss Heart of the USA is a fantastic pageant system and it offers everyone something special. It has been an amazing experience and a big part of my life. I plan to continue to compete with Miss Heart of USA because I want to make a difference!

Hey everyone my name is Rebecca Gallo! This is my second year in the Miss Heart of the USA organization.  Currently holding the titles of: Kentucky's Jr Miss Heart of the USA and Community Queen and now Livington's Teen Miss Heart of the USA I have been involved in many charitable organizations. The Miss Heart of the USA is not just a pageant system but we are a family! In seventh grade I was bullied and lost all confidence in myself. On January 21, 2012 I won St. Tammany's Jr. Miss Heart of the USA and Viewers choice. This was my first pageant. After that I started to realize how much I really do have. This pageant system has taught me to think about other people before myself. This has been the best year of my life. If I could give any girl any advice while entering this pageant it would be to give it your all and no matter if you win or lose you have helped a bunch of families. If you do your best you have already won!
